Learning from your mistakes makes you a better person.
Young offenderEveryone makes mistakes and often times from these mistakes, important lessons are learned. This means that learning from our mistakes can make us a better person. In the story, “Thank you, Ma’m”, a young boy named Roger attempts to steal Ms. Luella’s large purse that "had everything in it but a hammer and nails". When he grabbed the bag and pulled, the bag was too heavy for him to hold on, and so he came crashing down.
When Roger fell to the ground, Luella turned back and kicked him. After she kicked Roger, she picked him up and she made Roger feel ashamed about what he had done. After she scolded him, she took him to her house forcefully. She told Roger to clean himself and prepared dinner for him. In the end, she felt bad for him because of life he had. So Luella gave Roger $10 to buy his shoes. When Roger made the mistake to Luella, he ended up getting what he wanted, but he did learn his lesson. But she decided not to turn him into the police. Instead, she made Roger learn a lesson  and gave advice not to steal again. When the story said, “And he never saw her again”, The reader believes that Roger probably will never steal anything again because he learnt his lesson.
http://www.getentrepreneurial.com/images/franchise-mistakes.jpgAnother story which tells us that learning from our mistakes makes us a better person, is this article was about a boy called Adam Murray who was hit by a younger offender. The young offender asked for a cigarette and punched him in the face. Later on, the young offender was convicted of assault. Adam met with the young offender for a “restorative meeting.”  When the young offender met Adam for first time, he was frustrated because he thought the offender just wanted to avoid going to prison and it wasn't something he wanted to do. Adam said that he was insincere and he didn’t made a eye contact. But when Adam and the young offender met together for the second time, he said that when the young offender  made eye contact and that he was more confident and his apology was more sincere. This story shows that when the young offender made a mistake to Adam, he was scared to apologize to Adam, but when he had a second chance to apologize, he was confident to say his real feelings about being sorry. This article, like the first, shows that we can learn from our mistake.

I think the story "Thank you Ma'm" and the article "Young offenders should meet victims of their crime" fit well together. The same theme applies to both stories very well. Both of the stories tell me that learning from your mistake makes you a better person. The story "Thank you Ma'm" was a story of a young boy realizing his mistakes from stealing Luella's purse. The story "Young offenders should meet victims of their crime" was the story about the young offender realizing about his mistake and apologizing to Adam. But when he couldn't apologizes to Adam for first time, Adam give second chance to apologize better. So I think people learn from their mistakes or fault and become a better person.

Betrayal  Can Lead to Vengeance.

Betrayal can lead to vengeance like Dahl's story,'Lamb to the Slaughter. Mary was a great wife for Patrick. But Patrick betrays Mary and this brings death to Patrick. But Mary would not kill Patrick if he betrayed Mary. Mary loved Patrick so much that although Patrick acted mean to Mary, she tried her best to make Patrick happy by giving him a drink and asking for supper. But Patrick changes Mary by telling her that he want  to leave her. After hearing this ,  she was so shock that she didn’t know what she was doing. Result of giving shock to Mary, lead Patrick to death.

There is also a  movie which shows about betrayal leads to death. The movie is called Star Wars : Revenge of Sith. In this movie there is a character named Anakin. He was a student of Obiwan Kenobi. Anakin was smart and young but the ‘Union’ didn’t accepted him to become a master. He was angry that he betrayed his master and friends and he goes to the dark side. After he went to the dark side, he becomes a master of dark sides and he call himself as ‘The Dark Vader. When he became strong enough, he decides to kill his master Obiwan. But after killing him, Dark Vader’s  son ( which does not know that he is the father) kills the Dark Vader.

In both of the story shows that betrayal leads to death in the end. This shows betrayal can change people’s mind and life. It also shows that people can do anything to get back their happiness .
